Are you a congregational or community leader who desires to know more about how to meet the needs of those struggling with mental illness? Join Mental Health in Congregations in partnership with the Amberley Collaborative. Session topics will include recognizing various forms of mental illness, accessing local professional services, understanding caregivers' experiences, responding to congregants displaying suicidal ideation, creating a environment with in which everyone fully belongs, discerning appropriate lay and professional roles, confidentiality and information sharing, and self-care for helpers. Each session will include both teaching and extended discussion time, allowing participants to process what they're learning in the context of their congregational settings.
