This Reading course for students moving from 1st to 2nd grade strengthens foundational skills and introduces new concepts. Topics include print awareness, phonics, decoding multisyllabic words, reading comprehension, fluency, vocabulary, handwriting, and identifying author's purpose. Students will enhance their ability to read with accuracy and expression, while developing critical thinking skills for understanding and analyzing a variety of texts.

This course strengthens foundational reading and language skills for 2nd to 3rd graders. The course also explores literary analysis and effective communication.

Young creators invent heroes, craft storylines, and explore cartooning basics while developing fun, imaginative writing skills. Inspired by artists like Stan Lee, campers of all levels receive scaffolded instruction to make writing enjoyable. By week's end, they complete original comic strips and short stories- all led by a Texas certified teacher who supports creativity every step. (Ages 8-12)
