Kids College Fridays offers hands-on activities in art, science, culinary arts, technology, photography, robotics, and more. Students attend from 8:00 AM-3:30 PM and participate in two instructor-led classes each Friday, with time for lunch and outdoor recreation. Please bring a packed lunch, snack, and water bottle.

Learn the fundamentals of photography while developing the skills needed to capture memorable yearbook images. This six-week course introduces camera operation, composition, exposure, and storytelling through photojournalism. Students will practice photographing school events and everyday moments while learning techniques for creating images that document a story. The course also includes an introduction to Adobe Photoshop for basic photo editing and image enhancement. Through hands-on activities and instructor guidance, participants will build confidence behind the camera. No camera is required-equipment will be provided for classroom use. Instructor Corey Dunigan is a professional photographer, entrepreneur (owner of Camera Coach), and certified teacher with more than 15 years of classroom experience. (Ages 11-16)

Students will learn camera equipment, essential settings, focusing techniques, and composition strategies for photographing football, volleyball, and basketball. The course emphasizes anticipating action, freezing motion, and creating compelling images in a variety of lighting conditions. Participants will also receive an introduction to editing sports photographs using Adobe Photoshop to prepare images for publication or sharing.
