When not at MCC, Steve is actively involved in officiating football, basketball and baseball with local Waco chapters, while raising registered Beefmaster cattle with his family at their ranch in Otto.

Participants will learn to perform preventive maintenance and routine repair. They will monitor indicators to ensure correct operations and perform all housekeeping to maintain production schedule. Participants will learn to recognize potential maintenance issues with basic production systems, including knowledge of when to inform maintenance personnel about problems with electrical systems, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, machine automation systems, lubrication processes, bearing and couplings, and belts and chain drives.

In this course participants will be able to identify customer needs. Participants will be able to determine the resources available for the production process and set up equipment accordingly. They will learn to set up team production goals and make job assignments to help meet those goals. Participants will learn to perform and monitor the process to make the product, using correct documentation and compliance with customer requirements. Final product preparation and shipping/distribution will also be discussed.

The Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) certification provides students with foundational knowledge of supply chain logistics. The course covers the material handling aspect of the global supply chain and is designed to give students a broad overview of the industry and how frontline workers fit into that environment. At the end of training, students will be able to: . Understand the global supply chain logistics life cycle . Identify/use equipment in handling materials and operating equipment . Practice quality control procedures and employ good work communication . Practice teamwork and good workplace conduct to solve problems . Use relevant computer systems to increase productivity Students who complete the course and pass the course assessment will receive a Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) certificate. MSSC recommends students be at the 9th-grade level of math and 10th-grade level of English. This course is online and self-paced. Course cost includes all modules, fees, and assessment.

The Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) Certified Logistics Technician (CLT) certification provides students with mid-level technical knowledge of supply chain logistics. This course covers mid-level material handling of supply chain logistics that front-line material handling workers should master in order to perform well. The course gives students a more practical insight into the industry. At the end of training, students will be able to: . Receive and stock products . Process product orders and prepare packages for shipment/ship products . Maintain inventory control . Handle hazardous materials . Evaluate transportation modes . Perform dispatch, routing, and tracking operations . Understand U.S. measurements and metric system conversions Prerequisite includes Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) curriculum. Students who complete the course and pass assessment will receive a Certified Logistics Technician (CLT) certificate. Successful completion of the program is accepted for credit courses in the Supply Chain & Operations Management program at MCC. This course will teach participants to work in a safe and productive manufacturing workplace utilizing effective, safety-enhancing practices. They will learn to perform safety, environmental inspections, and emergency drills. They will learn to identify unsafe conditions and take corrective action providing a safe work environment for all employees. They will learn to fulfill safety and health requirements for maintenance, installation, and repair while monitoring safe equipment and operator performance.
