Join us in this intermediate course for K9 Mutt dog training. Have you already set the foundation of good behavior and relationships with your dog? Local canine expert Sandy Wittliff, will guide you on what you have already learned with your dog. You will reiterate the basic training and will move on into more intricate work. Students must provide current shot records for their canine at the first day of class. Vaccines must include Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, and Rabies. After initial puppy vaccinations, the canine will receive boosters every three years. The class will meet at MCC's Highlander Ranch, 223A Cobbs Ln. Waco, TX. Drive through the ranch and make a slight yield to the right. Follow the signs to the Veterinarian Tech building. The speed limit at the ranch is 15 MPH. Be courteous of those walking their horses and others on the path.

The McLennan County AgriLife Extension Office will host a New & Small Landowner Educational Class designed to help property owners understand and manage their land effectively. Topics include What can AgriLife Extension do for you, local agencies, Landowner 101: Setting Goals for Your Property, property tax evaluation, pond management, backyard poultry 101, business planning for small acreages, beekeeping basics, and tree identification & issues. Guest speakers and specialists will present on various topics.

For those unable to attend in person, a virtual option will be available. The class will be held at the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office, 4224 Cobbs Drive.

Have you wanted to learn about agility to have fun in your backyard? Agility creates a bond between handler and dog, so the dog performs as needed. This will just be the beginnings and give you and your dog a taste of agility and some of the equipment used. To take this class you must have taken a K9mutt Beginners, 1 K9mutt Intermediate class and instructor approval. The class will have a 4 person limit since some of the time the dog will be off leash.
